Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Install on Quest, in the card above, is the one-click USB install. These steps are the manual path (SideQuest or ADB).

Overview

Gunblade NY VR brings Sega's helicopter light-gun game to Meta Quest 3 and 3S in stereo VR with head tracking and tracked guns. It is a public beta. The original game's scenery, audio and rules come from your own game data.

[!NOTE] No game files included. You need the Revision A set: gunblade.zip with all 18 required payloads. A split set may also need segabill.zip in the same folder. No CHD is required.

Prerequisites

  • Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S.
  • Your own Gunblade NY Revision A gunblade.zip.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Install the APK via 1-click on QuestPorts or download gunblade-ny-vr-quest.apk from GitHub Releases.
  2. Put gunblade.zip (and segabill.zip if your set is split) into /sdcard/Download/. Keep them packed.
  3. Open Gunblade NY - VR4ALL from Unknown Sources and finish the ROM check on the setup screen.
  4. Play. The original automatic-fire trigger and two-player cabinet inputs are supported.

[!TIP] Quest 3S play has been observed. Quest 3 is still being checked, some heavy scenes run below full arcade speed, and audio can sound rough.

Troubleshooting & Tips

The app checks the size, CRC32 and SHA1 of the files. Use the complete Revision A gunblade.zip and keep it zipped. If the setup screen cannot find it, check that it sits directly in /sdcard/Download/.
